Melanotan II dosage in published studies
The only Melanotan II dose these abstracts give as a number is in rats: 1 microgram gave the optimal erectile response when given into the brain or spinal fluid (Wessells et al., 2003). A 28-day rat study used several doses by osmotic minipump, but the abstract does not give the amounts. These are research doses in animals, not guidance for people.
Searches for 'melanotan 2 dosage' find little in the controlled literature. In these records, the one numeric dose is the 1 microgram that gave the best erectile response in rats, given i.c.v. or intrathecally. It is not a comparable dose for people. Intravenous dosing was used in the same study, but the abstract gives no amount.
The rodent body-fat studies report the design, not the amounts. Seeley et al. gave several MT-II doses by osmotic minipump for 28 days to diet-induced obese rats. Strader et al. gave MT-II peripherally to mice and rats. Neither abstract states the dose. The zebrafish memory study also gives no dose in its abstract.
The human records do not report doses either. The priapism case names abdominal subcutaneous injection without a quantity, and the forum study lists 'dosing regimens' as a discussion theme without giving values. Tasman does not publish dosing guidance. The table below shows only what each study reports.
