Growth hormone research peptides
Growth hormone research uses two receptor routes. CJC-1295 and tesamorelin are analogues of growth hormone-releasing hormone and act at the pituitary GHRH receptor. Ipamorelin acts at the ghrelin receptor, and in rats and pigs it released growth hormone without raising ACTH or cortisol. Tesamorelin has the largest human trial record. What is the difference between CJC-1295 with and without DAC?
The DAC version carries a lysine with a maleimido group that binds albumin in the blood and keeps the peptide circulating; in healthy adults its half-life was 5.8 to 8.1 days. CJC-1295 without DAC, also called Mod GRF 1-29, lacks that group and is expected to act for a much shorter time. Almost all published human data on CJC-1295 used the DAC version.
How does ipamorelin differ from CJC-1295?
They act at different receptors. CJC-1295 is a GHRH analogue that acts at the pituitary GHRH receptor; ipamorelin is a pentapeptide that acts at the ghrelin, or growth hormone secretagogue, receptor. That is why they are studied together, and why we offer them as a blend and as separate vials in the GH pair.
Why is tesamorelin the most studied?
It went through large phase 3 trials in people with HIV who had excess abdominal fat, and it is FDA-approved in the United States for that condition. Later trials measured liver fat, muscle, blood glucose and cognition, almost all in people with HIV. It is not registered on the ARTG.
Are growth hormone peptides legal in Australia?
CJC-1295 with and without DAC, ipamorelin and tesamorelin are not registered on the ARTG, and there is no TGA-approved product containing any of them. We supply them for laboratory research only, not for human consumption. Each compound page has its own legal section.
